Organizational Strategic Plan

The Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce (HRCC) is a non-profit association of 600 businesses and professionals cultivating a strong community that drives regional prosperity. As one of the largest chambers in the state of West Virginia, and a legacy dating back to 1912, HRCC reached a pivotal moment, facing both a need and opportunity to build a future as strong as its historic past. With the COVID-19 pandemic easing and a new president and CEO, HRCC engaged Fourth Economy to manage a strategic planning process that would capitalize on this important moment. Organizational Strategic Plan

Founded in the 1970s, Operation Better Block (OBB) promotes economic development and provides a number of services to residents and businesses in Pittsburgh's historically Black Homewood neighborhood. A shift in focus away from community revitalization to physical development resulted in a lack of clarity surrounding the organization’s values, services, and role in impacting residents’ quality of life. To better understand the needs of the Homewood community and reform programmatic offerings with those needs in mind, OBB partnered with Fourth Economy Consulting to lead the development of an organizational Strategic Plan. Fourth Economy provided a housing-focused data analysis and identified partnership opportunities for OBB resulting in a 3-year blueprint for achieving operational stabilization and sustainability. Organizational Strategic Plan

TechPoint is the growth accelerator for Indiana's tech ecosystem. TechPoint focuses on developing out Indiana's tech ecosystem and is part of the Central Indiana Partnership. As the technology sector rapidly evolved and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic became clear, it was necessary to assess TechPoint’s current role in the industry, with an eye towards future strategy, ecosystem analysis, economic insights, best practices, and benchmarks with peer organizations. Fourth Economy developed a plan to understand central Indiana’s tech industry and workforce. Throughout this strategic planning process, Fourth Economy served as an independent thought partner in helping TechPoint prioritize portfolio needs, understand organizational capacity, and decide where efficiency could increase. Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan

In September of 2017, the health department became a nationally accredited public health department. As a part of the re-accreditation process, the health department must assess and update their Community Health Assessment (CHA) and Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIP) to ensure that priority health concerns of the communities served are being addressed and progress is being made on previous goals set forth. The collaborative effort to complete the plans was a marked success. With the support of Fourth Economy, the updated CHA and CHIP were meticulously designed to address priority health focus areas for over 1.2 million county residents and were the result of detailed analysis, robust and inclusive community engagement, and detailed report creation.
