Economic Development Strategy

Stafford County Economic Development Department

A historic suburban community in Northern Virginia, Stafford County is known for its in-demand residential areas, suburban amenities, strong community, and proximity to the defense industry in neighboring Quantico. The county’s marquis opportunities surround the construction and implementation of data centers, a prominent warehousing and logistics sector, and the continued development of retail assets for a regional population.

Fourth Economy is supporting Stafford County, VA with an update to their 5-year economic development strategy.

Our Approach

Fourth Economy’s approach to economic growth in Stafford is centered on prioritizing target industries for growth, building innovation programs, policies, and initiatives that the county can lead, and considering how modern development opportunities can maintain the county’s reputation as a strong place to live, work, and play. The final plan will ultimately serve as a roadmap for the county’s economic development department, board of supervisors, and other stakeholders to use to achieve a collective vision for the future of Stafford County’s economy.
