Comprehensive Plan 2045
City of Laramie, WY
Five years after Fourth Economy assisted with Thrive Laramie, the city’s economic development plan, the City of Laramie, Wyoming is seeking a bold and visionary guide for community growth and development over the next two decades as part of its next Comprehensive Plan update. In the 18 years since Laramie’s 2007 Comprehensive Plan was adopted, much has changed. The plan will address key priorities like economic development, housing, transportation, sustainability, equity, and land use.
Fourth Economy will partner with lead consultant Clarion to identify priority areas for economic opportunity within the community.
Our Approach
Fourth Economy will host targeted meetings with key stakeholders from a broad cross-section of the community, with a particular focus on livability and economic growth, as well as analyze economic and demographic data to assess existing conditions, trends, and projections.
This process will establish a framework for growth and development that addresses housing needs, protects natural resources, promotes economic development, and celebrates the rural and ranching heritage of the community. The plan will serve as a guide to support the vibrancy of home grown businesses that make up a nationally recognized main street and the entrepreneurs who are building the next tech company in Laramie’s diverse economy.
The plan will center affordability, connectivity for all forms of transportation, accessibility for all, sustainability and resilience, and equity for historically underserved and disadvantaged communities
